Newman Guitars is the home of Stuart Newman, Master Luthier. I’m based in Byron Bay, the most easterly point of Australia. I specialize in the creation of the finest quality custom built acoustic and electric stringed instruments. I can make about 6 instruments a year. I also provide repair, maintenance and modification support for all instruments.

Spirit
I believe that the trees that my wood comes from have a spirit and so do the other materials. I also believe that the energy and intention that I approach work with has an influence; and that it is my understanding of these elements that allows me to imbue a quality of love into my instruments.
